Mor.Shi Studio is a Bozeman-based architecture practice founded by Anson and Saya Morris. Our work is grounded in close collaboration with our clients, with an emphasis on thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and homes that respond to the people who inhabit them and the places they belong.

We approach each project without a predetermined style, allowing the architecture to develop from the site, the client, and the particular opportunities of the project.

Anson is a licensed architect in Montana and a Bozeman native. After more than a decade living and working in Oregon and New York, he returned to Montana to establish Mor.Shi Studio and continue practicing architecture in the place he grew up.

His experience spans residential architecture, interiors, institutional work, and large-scale commercial projects, including work with ZGF, Works Partnership Architecture, and other design practices. That range of experience informs an approach to architecture that values strong ideas, thoughtful details, and close collaboration throughout the design process.

Outside the studio, Anson is usually skiing, biking, working on cars, or finding some other reason to be outside.

Saya is an architectural designer whose work is rooted in collaboration and a love of creating homes that reflect the people who live in them. Originally from New Mexico, she studied architecture at the University of New Mexico before making her way to Bozeman and eventually co-founding Mor.Shi Studio with Anson.

Her background spans architecture, design, marketing, and institutional work, including experience with Pomarico Design Studio in New York and Los Alamos National Laboratory. She brings a thoughtful, hands-on perspective to the studio, with a particular interest in interiors, materials, and the details that give a home its character.

Outside the studio, Saya enjoys skiing, snowboarding, hiking, art and making things—and spending time with Aki and Huck.
